In his wordless mobius strip of a play Stage Left Lost Jerry Mouawad transforms Shakespeare's tragedy of Othello by presenting the story on and off the stage. When the actress performing Desdemona strangely dies at the hands of her overly aggressive co-lead the motive remains unclear. The mystery of the actress's death is revealed not on stage but off as the audience sits stage left and witnesses the behind-the-scene acts of the actors. Recommended for ages 16 and older.
